The St Mary’s Parent Council is open to all parents of children attending the school. We meet in the school staffroom on the first Tuesday of every month between 7 and 8.30pm.
The Parent Council has 3 main purposes:
- Fundraising – to support the school in its work with pupils – for example, by contributing to the cost of school trips, buying equipment etc.
- To represent the views of parents concerning a wide range of school issues (for example, the school crossing patrol; playground equipment; Curriculum for Excellence).
- To help build positive relationships between the school, parents, pupils and the local community – for example, through social events like the Christmas Fayre and involvement in local community events.
We are keen to find ways to make sure that ALL parents can be involved and raise issues that are important to them and their children.
If you have any questions or ideas for the parent council or if there is something you would like to contribute, come along to a meeting or email firstname.lastname@example.org
