P6b finished 2017 superbly by creating fantastic Natural Disaster projects! As you can see in the photos the children produced incredible work including model volcanoes, tornadoes and earthquakes.
Since coming back to school we have been really busy! We have had guest speakers from the SSPCA and Matthew Fitt, who wrote the Scots translation of Harry Potter, has also visited. We’re really enjoying our topic learning about Forces and Friction at the moment and can’t wait to complete some exciting experiments in the next few weeks! Since returning from the Christmas break we have been learning about Data and have recently conducted our own data surveys and analysis.

We have been really busy since so far this term. So far we’ve attended a science show called ‘The Flying Atoms’ as part of the Fringe Festival, we’ve also been to Princes Street Gardens for the Edinburgh International Festival Schools’ Concert. We’re really enjoying our Natural Disasters topic and so far we have completed some fun investigations into earthquakes. Have a look!
